Nature Park Information Centre ‘Fire & Water’

Discover the habitats of streams, rivers and meadows through play

With its two stations in Saalhausen and Oberhundem, the Nature Park Information Centre offers lots of exciting information on the topics of stream habitats and charcoal burning. A multi-touch table is filled with interesting facts about the Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park and invites visitors to take virtual discovery tours before the nature discovery backpacks lure them out into the great outdoors.

Fire and water – as contrasting as these two elements are, they are nevertheless inseparable. That's why visitors can combine the two information centre locations wonderfully on a day trip, as a varied cycling and hiking trail connects the two information centres in the guest houses in Saalhausen and Oberhundem.

Our tip: combine your visit to the information centre with the surrounding special features of the region – our nature park gems.
